Bluetooth Volume Starts Real Low, Then Goes Up Slowly

When I first answer a phone call, I can barely hear the caller. after a few seconds, the volume comes up very slowly, while the caller thinks i can't hear them. Any fix for this?? I tried adjusting the adaptive volume control on the phone settings, no help.(I have a 2008 IS 350 w/nav)
