ptrnn Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Hello, my 2006 GS300 "low enging oil light" appear twice in the last 6 months. Took it to Lexus for a non related recall issue and asked them to check it out. They counldn't find anything wrong with it. But oil level was down to 2 quartz, took it to a buddy garage for oil change. 3 months later same issue, took it back to Lexus and they still can't find out why the car is loosing oil. Since I don't take my car to Lexus for oil change, the service writer thinks that the car didn't have sufficient oil when it was change. I told her that I take 3 other cars to the same garage for service, I believe my GS is leaking oil into the engine somewhere causing it to have incomplete combustion resulting in soot residual in muffler and losing oil, BUT Lexus don't know what is causing it.
