Nav-destination By Telephone #

Has anybody used this method to fix a destination ? I tried, but it doesn't recognize the area code, and won't let me key in just any working phone number.

I have tried it a couple of times with the regular ph.# and it didn't work. Then I used a business # out of yellow pages, and it worked, at leased that one time.
