Starter Problem/paddle Shift/speed Sensor

I have a 2000 GS400 which had problems starting. I took it to my mechanic who replaced the starter. When I picked up the car the check engine light came on and the car now has a fast idle (which it did not have before), the paddle shifting (for manual shifting) is not working, the cruise control won't hold and the speed sensor is making the check engine light appear.

Any comment or advice would be appreciated.
