Service Issue With Dealership Lexus Of Mobile

has anyone had any issues with Lexus of Mobile in AL? My father has a 2008 RX350 that started having engine noise back in Oct. 08. He bought the car here in the panhandle of florida but the Mobile dealership is the only Lexus dealer close to him. He bought it new but not from a Lexus dealership. the car has been back to the Mobile dealership 4 times since Oct. 08 for this issue which got worse. The factory person agreed that the engine had a default issue. the car has been at the dealership since jan. 22nd. they were waiting for a new short block to replace on the car. this was received about 2 weeks ago. then we were told that they did not ship gaskets. I was told that they would call back with the status of the gaskets and still no word. It is going on almost two months that they have had the car. also curious if anyone has had to file with the Lemon law.
