How Do I Shut Off The Tire Pressure Monitor System

I recently purchased winter tires on 3rd party steel rims for my 2008 ES350. Does anyone know how to shut off the tire pressure monitoring system? I am assuming the warning light is on because I did not bother to purchase the special tranmitters for these rims. I was hoping I could disable the warning system while I have these winter tires on the car, and then turn the system back on when I put the factory rims back on the car in the spring.
