Problem With Air Conditioning

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a 1995 Lexus ES300

I was driving the other day and my AC died, as well as the gauges on my dashboard.

I looked up the fuse for the gauges and it was in fact blown. I replaced the fuse and it worked. However now a check engine light is on.

My gauges are back with the new fuse, but the AC is still toast. The car now makes almost a hissing noise that did not happen before.

Additionally when you try to turn the AC on, the green light on the "AC" button flashes and then turns off. When I did this again the new fuse blew up and I lost all my gauges once again.

I took it to Pepboys to have the computer code and it comes back with "PO500" which is a failed speed sensor. No idea what that is about.

My guess is the clutch or compressor and i'm hoping for clutch. If anyone has experienced this please, I would love to hear your input.

Thanks!
