Cd Player

My wife owns a 2008 ES 350. She thinks it's the next best thing to sliced bread. She traded a 1999 M3 in on the Lexus. Two completely different cars but both excellent at what they were designed to do. Anyhow.......I turn on the Cd player. Power on the stereo and then select disc. When I turn the car off and come back sometime later the stereo system is off.

I'm expecting the Cd player to pick up on the last song played before turning the car off.

Any help?
