madyash
I searched the forum but was unable to find any recommendations for a car detailer in the Chicago area. I'm in the northwest Chicago area and have an 06 GS that badly needs to be detailed. Anyone have any recommendations? I saw a couple of places online: 3 Oaks (http://www.3oakscarwash.com/index.php?page=detail-packages) - was thinking about detail package 4 or Fullers (http://fullerscarwash.com/detail.htm) - again, detail package 4 I bought my GS used about a year ago and have never had it detailed. I've moved around the country a lot in the past year and so have never had time to settle down and do it. That said, the car is a complete mess right now. I'm new to detailing, so even if you don't have any recommendations, if you think one place seems to have a better package than the other, I'd appreciate your input. Maybe even some questions I can ask them to determine which place is better? Thanks!!
mixin23
I have taken my GS to two places: 1) The Carriage Car Wash in Roselle, 2) a spot in the city in River North. Overall they both did a good job. Carriage was cheaper since you don't pay city prices, as well as they have a coupon online ( http://thecarriagecarwash.com/Coupon1.pdf ). It takes almost all day, so you're best to drop it off. Also - Carriage uses good quality products and even their normal car washes come out great. If you're new to it - just ask them exactly what they do (hand application vs. something automated; how the seats are cleaned; etc.). For $200 or less - it'll make your car feel great!
