bonelex1 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Does anyone have 245/40/18 tires on their GS300? If so, what's the ride like on the parkway @ high speeds and when you're going over bumps or grooves?
445187 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Yes, on my 02 & it seems fine to me, probably a tad harsher, but very livable.
washingtonGS300 Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I've got the 2007 GS430 18" wheels and 425/40 18 Tires on my 1993 GS300. The ride is great. The difference in cornering has been dramatic (no sidewall flex and incredible tires). The only negative i've found is that they seem to track a bit on worn down roads. I'm also way more cautious around curbs, pulling into my driveway etc... but, that comes with the territory. Overall, it's been a great change. My next set of tires will be 245/45 18 because they will be just slightly larger than stock (like 1.5% or something) rather than slightly smaller... my car is stock height so I would rather have a bit more tire to fill up the wheel wells a bit more.
idgod1 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I have a 93 on 18 with 245/45/18. I live in Maryland and driving over bumps and potholes is a normal thing. I fly over them and my buddies are blowing tires and cracking rims. LoL The car rides a lil stiffer but handles like a dream.
MYLEXTC Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I had sumitumo and the ride was a lil rough over bumps and holes. Switched to bridgestone tires,The rides much smoother now,How a lexus should be. Its all about the tires.
