Venomous Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 I purchased a CPO 2002 ES300 from Longo Lexus (El Monte, CA). The car had 46K miles on it when purchased in July 2006. Now with ~63K miles on it, I have noticed significant cracking on the paint on the drivers side roof rain gutter strip. The cracking runs the entire length of the roof. Since the passenger side strip is fine, its clear that the drivers side strip was obviously repainted prior to my purchase and was either improperly prepped or didn't have enough flex additive added to the paint. I have been informed by my service adviser that paint/finish is not covered by the Lexus CPO warranty. For all the hype Lexus puts into its CPO program, it turns out you are still just buying a used car with a limited warranty. Very disappointing.
kevinmary Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 This is really horrible. You take it to the same dealor who has provided service to it.they will look for it.
