Justyna Posted November 25, 2007 Share Posted November 25, 2007 Hi. I have a 1996 Lexus ES300. The passenger side outer CV boot was ripped and needed to be replace. I got the outer half of the axle out (outside of the bearing that bolts up to the back of the motor). I got the outer boot changed and put back together but I can't get the inner cv joint back together. I took it out and it all fell apart at once so I didn't get to see how it went together. So I have an outer shaft, bearing race, and 6 ball bearings. Where the bearings go the the grooves are slanted. I lined it up and it holds till you try to push it in, then it all falls apart inside.
