banjoman Posted October 10, 2007 Share Posted October 10, 2007 I tracked the mpg on the last two tanks and got 22.78 and 22.6 which involves some in town driving and mostly 55-70 interstate commuting. Is this below average ? I would be interested to hear other reports. At my last service (non dealer) I had the fuel injection system cleaned and since I had not tracked it prior, can't say if it made a difference. Additionally, I get occasional pinging in warm weather after engine has warmed up....regardless of 89 or 93 octane fuel. No code came back indicating faulty anti knock sensor... technician speculated that residual carbon might be causing the problem.....it did not disappear after injection cleaner.
