jewelslex
I have a 1995 Lexus ES300. The moonroof doesn't close. it moves about a inch and stops. It appears that it is jammed in some manner. I have removed the headliner, and plan to tackle the mooonroof next. Anyone have any tips and clues on how to remove the moonroof? Any resources I can access to help me out? I have found out that the headliner will not fit out of the car. it appears the rear window needs to be removed to get it out, which I will not do. I'll work around that. By the way, I'm new to this type of forums, so be please be patient. I hope someone can lend me a hand. I got the moonroof down. I place two pieces of wood to support the moonroof in the car , without taking it out the vehicle. I found two quarters in the rail of the moonroof, which caused the jam. It was not hard at all to remove the MF from the car. But you have to be aware that you have to manage to keep track of the position of the MF in relation to motor position. It took a about twenty tries to get the MF in sequence with the motor.
