DaveV Posted October 2, 2007 Share Posted October 2, 2007 Hi all, I'm a new Lexus owner (bought a 2001 ES300 w/ 47k miles) and therefore new to the Lexus Owners Club. The CD portion of the stereo unit will not work. I've search the forums but did not find much about ejecting the CD Changer unit (use really sticky tape?). This car has the 6 changer CD unit in the glove box. I've down loaded the manuals and checked the diagnostic codes for the radio (390 - good). The eject button lights up and flashes several times when pushed but the unit will not eject. I figured I need to get the unit out first before determining if there are CD's incorrectly loaded inside the unit (lots of posts about CD problems inside the unit). Looks like I need to remove the whole glove box. Am I on the right track or is there some easier way? What's involved with removing the glove box (3 or 4 screws or some additional hidden items)?
