Dank3
Ive got a 94 es 300 aniversary edition w 140 000mi. Recently the front passengers side door speaker and the speaker above the glove box started crackling when the base hit. I thought it was a blown speaker but when the engine is turned off and the car is running on battery power it is 95% better. This makes me think it may be an amp problem. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Also does any one know if these amps can be tuned?

blk_on_blk
Sounds like you might have a ground issue... could be in the amp, could be somewhere in the wiring. It definitely sounds like alternator 'noise' getting into your system. You should be able to find a replacement amp through eBay... or you can have mine. I don't know if it works or not, for it was disconnected when I installed the new stereo, but it's out of a '95... and you're welcome to it.
