brians 300 Posted March 23, 2007 Share Posted March 23, 2007 My girlfriend and I took her 300 down to Irwindale Speedway tonight. She drove, I was in the passenger seat walking her through everything... She usually goes down with me when i race my Mustang, so she knows most of the basics, but it was her first time racing so it took a few runs to get used to. But she did good, i'm very proud of her. Her best time was as follows: R/T: 1.007 (might need some work in this area lol) 60': 2.537 (some small tire spin, could be better) 330': 7.146 1/8: 10.847 MPH: 67.34 (only an 1/8th mile track) Not to bad for a 93 sc300 with just a drop in K&N... Anyways she did very good for her first time out, but i think next time i'll end up driving to see if i can improve on those times... I think with a small burnout to heat up the tires, and footbraking it to get the converter spining I may be able to get those 60ft times down. And then with the engine cooled down and the air intake temps not as high, it'll run a little faster... so we'll see, this definetly wont be the last time we take it out!
