laclu007
I'm looking at a 2001 LS430 Premium Package. It's here in Canada, so Navigation was not an option on the 2001 in Canada. It has every other option available in 2001. The car has 49,000 miles on it, and the price at the moment is around $27,500USD. I'm in the process of getting service history, etc. The car is in mint shape, and has been well cared for. One issue is the owner just put new winter tires on last year, and was going to put new summer tires on after this winter, so there are no summer tires to go with it. My question is which "book" best reflects the value of this (and other) cars? Red? Blue? Gold? Black? If I go by Canadian Black Book, the average retail price is $23,650CDN. Is this realistic for this car? It seems that the dealers use Black book on trade ins because the values seem lower. (Of course, they don't use Black book when pricing their cars!) I had one of the local Lexus sales people run the VIN #, and all seems to check out, regular maintenance, no major problems, no collisions or body work, etc. Does anyone see this as priced to high? Also, are they any issues to look for specifically on the '01? Are there any specifics to look at and/or check out on this year/model? Any opinions and info. are greatly appreciated!
