weazel8 Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I just recenlty bought a 1991 LS400 with 189,000 miles. I bought it knowing the the A/C didn't work. I was going to recharge it. I checked it out and it hadn't been converted yet. So i went about converting it and when I did the pressure check there was no pressure so I assumed that there was no R-12 in it. So I began to inject the R-134 in it when I realized I didn't have a good seal and my pressure was good, but I had already injected a small amount of R-134 in to the system. So my quesiton is this. Is it bad if there is a small amount of R-134 mixed in with the R-12? Also no that I have done that my AC light flashes. I cant read any of the codes because my LCD is blacked out. Any ideas on what the problem for the no A/c would be as well
weazel8 Posted June 20, 2006 Author Posted June 20, 2006 One thing I have noticed is that my A/C light blinks when the car is started. I cant read any of the LCD codes beacause my LCD display is bad.
monarch Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 No residual pressure = no residual refrigerant was in the system. There were recent threads on recharging the '91 LS400 and they answer the questions you have posed.
weazel8 Posted June 21, 2006 Author Posted June 21, 2006 Is the was the blinking light means is not residual pressure?
