Connecting External Dvd To Nav In Gs430?

Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone has been able to connect an external dvd player to be able to watch dvd's on the navigation screen of a 2003 gs430. I have seen that VAIS Tech is coming out with an adapter that will enable us to do this.

AVIC-100 Audio/Video Auxiliary Input Adapter

Just wondering if any other members have been able to get this done. Since they say that the adapter is not gonna be available till summer 2006

I have just installed this equipment on a 06 GS430 with Nav and have not tried the DVD palyer, but the ipod sounds like a regular CD. Works great but pricey $299.00.
