I just bought a used 2004 es330 with 37K miles. I've noticed a very audible pinging noise as the car cools down after driving. I know many cars make that noise -- like a very taught wire being picked -- but it seems especially loud and long. Any ideas what is causing this or if I should be concerned.

Negative, no cause for concern. Most cars do this, it is the exhaust system (namely the heat sheild and the cat) contracting as the metal cools down. not a problem. :D
