CUMan Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I would run a new wire to the fuse box and tap into one of the circuits that is powered when the car is running. I used the windshield wiper circuit for my radar detector. If I recall correctly, the XM tuner operates on 6 volts. You will have to obtain a transformer to reduce the voltage from 12. Check www.XM411.com. They have a forum about XM hardware and installations. There is a company called My Radio Store that advertises on this forum. I think they will probably have the transformer and anything else you may need.
