air12290
I bought a 90 LS that I brought back to Denver from Texas. Original owner said his mechanic had raised the idle.. and he thought it was too high. Yes it is. When car is in neutral or park, it sits at about 1600.. in drive it sits at 800 to 900. I have been told that this is computer related.. but then how did this guys mechanic raise the idle.. is there an idle valve that can be adjusted? If so, where is it. I have to pass emissions at the end of the month.. now way with it idling like this thanks D in Denver I knew there had to be a way.. and there is!!! I went on the lexls.com web site looking at their tutorials.. and read the one about changing the Throttle Position Sensor.. at the END of it, he describes how you can turn the sensor clockwise or counter clockwise to raise and lower the idle.. now I know how the mechanic did it.. cheap fix.. which is nice
