Mattazuma Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 I have a 2001 LS430 with Nav & Mark Levinson audio system. I bought it last summer and I have found that it doesn't like playing CD-Rs. The CD changer starts skipping about a third of the way through the CD-R and skips more and more as it gets further out on the CD-R. There aren't any problems playing store-bought CDs. I got a head cleaming CD, and it didn't help. All of my CD-Rs are the 80 minute type, and I burned them on my NEC-2500A DVD/CD burner. I never had a problem with CD-Rs in the Nak systems in my '98 LS400 or my '93 SC400. Any ideas? (Other than buying an iPod :D ) Matt
rossarmstrong Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Try burning them at 1x speed if you haven't already. This will ensure the clearest possible burn on the cd and should held your car's laser read the disc better. This has normally helped on other devices that were having trouble reading homemade cds. I hope this helps.
