Factory Navigation Replacement?

Cars a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD I just bought car already has premium factory Navigation system but the touchscreen system BARELY works if whatever item your trying to select is on one of the few working areas it will work.

My question is I can get factory replacements out of other 2006 GS300s on eBay for approx $150-$200, if I buy a working replacement can I just directly drop in the replacement or does it require any programming (like I know my E60 or 08 535xi unless it has IDENTICAL packages and options which would be super rare it has to be programmed with all your car your putting the replacement from programmed with your cars parameters containing all of the options and features period to match and have it operate, and has to have features that requires the headunit to hsve different operating system parameters (like bluetooth, or heated seats, factory Navigation, factory AUX input, and other things that you can change the settiings with the headunit because its also the cars main display for everything).

Secondly does it have to be a specific year and model match, or will any navigation equipped 2006-2012 GS300,GS350,GS430 & GS460 MODELS WORK? (And if specific models only does that include it having to be AWD as well).
