Steering Wheel Maintenance

Hi Everybody,

It's great to be here. I just purchased my first Lexus yesterday. It's a 2002 LX470. I love this vehicle and when driving it feel like "I've arrived". It's awesome. I traded in my 1995 Toyota Landcruiser for this baby and wondered if there is any special way to keep the steering wheel in good shape. I know it may sound dumb and immaterial, but the wheel on my Landcruiser became worn through, and frankly unattractive. Granted, I didn't have a highly polished wood and leather steering wheel, but I want to make sure that this one stays as good as new. What should I watch out for and what should I do or is there anything that I need to do to maintain it? By the way, I'm very glad that someone had the presence of mind to form this club. I've got so many questions, that I feel like I'll be here a lot for the next few weeks.

Thanks in advance to anyone that has suggestions.

Victor
