Anyone Buy Of The 1st Ls400s New In 1989-1990?

Someone's reply here about a 90 LS400 made think of this.

Did anyone here buy a brand new 1990 LS400 in late 1989 or early 1990? If so, what kind of car did you have just before the LS400 and what persuaded you most to buy the LS400? Was it your first Japanese car? How long did you keep it? Where did you buy it?

I am guessing that the cars were first offered for sale in September 1989? Earlier? Mine was made in January of 1990.

Just something I thought would be interesting to know.
