How Do I Take Out My Cig Lighter?

Does it just pop out or does it screw out? NOT the lighter itself, but the housing that it goes into...I have a 1996 GS300....

Almost every lighter I have ever seen, the housing is two parts. The metal part you can see from the rear is actually a nut. It is threaded onto the back of the socket. This is the case in the never cars, but I don't actually recall doing any older ones. Given the universal nature of all things Japanese, it is most likely the same.
