  1. I have a 2008 IS250 AWD and it does not have any kind of service reminders. I just know to bring it in every 8000 km. You would think that a car of this calibre would have some kind of reminder but it doesn't.
  2. I got the recall letter also (I'm in Ontario) for my 2008 IS250 AWD. I have not heard any more either.
  3. ** Update ** The warning lights have come on 2 more times and I have had the Toyota dealer here resest the computer each time. Yesterday, they were finally able to download and apply the software fix which previously they could not do for some reason. Apparently one of their mechanics has now reachd 'master tech' status so he was allowed to apply the fix. Hopefully this has solved the problem and I won't have to make the 3 hour trip to a Lexus dealer in Toronto.
  4. I have a 2008 Canadian model and the feature works on mine.
  5. Are these factory CD's or burned at home? They are store bought CDs.
  6. I have a 2008 IS250 AWD with the 6 CD changer. When a CD finishes playing and the next one is automatically loaded an 'ERROR 3' is flashing. If I push the advance to next CD button and then push the advance to previous CD button, then the CD plays fine e.g. CD 3 finishes and CD 4 loads - ERROR 3 is flashing. I push the next CD button and CD 5 loads. Push the previous CD button and CD 4 loads and plays OK. Anyone else had this happen?
  7. I have a 2008 IS250 AWD and I have had the same problems - several times. The first time it happened was in March/09. I would drive home from work about 25 km, leave the car running while I ran into get the mail and when I got back in the car the Service Engine light, traction control light, information warning light and Check VSC would all be on. I took it to the dealer the next day and they could find nothing wrong and just reset the diagnostic computer. Then a couple of weeks later the exact same thing happened again under the same circumstances. This time the dealer did find a code (they didn't tell me what it was) which indicated something wrong with the fuel (I only use premium). For the next several months everything was OK. Then on 12/28/09 I drove about 25 km, stopped at a traffic light and the same diagnostic lights came on again. Over the next 2 days which included several engine start/stops the lights remained on. Then on the 3rd day the lights did not come on after starting the car. All OK for about a week and then the lights came on again. Took the car to the Toyota dealer (no Lexus dealer where I live) and they got 2 codes out of the computer P0172 and P0175. They called Lexus and were told Lexus knows about the problem and they need to make a program change to the computer. So now I have to drive 3 hours to the Lexus dealer in Toronto to get the fix done.
  8. I got my 2008 IS250 AWD in July/09. I drove with ECT off for the first several months. Then I turned it on and have been driving with it on ever since. I have noticed that my MPG has increased ever so slightly during the warmer months with ECT on but decreased slightly during the winter months compared to the same period last winter when I drove with the ECT off.
  9. My tank only had about 1/4 fuel remaining as I had just driven 3 hours to get to the Lexus dealer (there is no dealer where I live). When I picked the car up the tank was full - a very pleasant surprise!
