  1. I have a 2004 SC430 and would really like to have Sirius radio, without adding extra stuff to my dashboard. I notice that the 2010 SC430 had a SAT/NAV radio. It looks like if you removed the Nav/radio/CD/tape player on the 2004 you might be able to replace with the 2010 "stuff". Has anyone done this before? Is it plug and play? Any suggestions ? I would like to keep the clean look, and really do not need a tape player....
  2. Good morning! Yesterday I got a sweet deal on my very first Lexus! I bought a CPO 2007 ES350 with 68,000 mi and premium plus package for $16,250. I asked and they threw in the updated nav DVD for me as well. It was a great deal IMO, and I'm excited to have my first Lexus. One question: I'm getting satellite put in and having the dealer install it using the sat kit available for the 2007 model so that it will be integrated into the dash and system. Has anyone done this as opposed to putting in a mounted aftermarket satellite receiver? Are there any pitfalls I should avoid? Is the dealer the best place or should I go to an audio shop? Thanks for the help and (obviously) I'm beyond excited to be a Lexus owner! Jess
  3. Just bought a 2013 RX350 with XM radio. I know XM and Sirius are now the same company but they don't use the same broadcast satellite. The XM satellite is lower in the sky and drops out frequently on my new RX due to trees. I have two other cars with Sirius satellite radio with no drop outs. My question is, on my other cars the satellite portion of the radio is a removable head unit, I can purchase an XM or Sirius head unit. Does the Lexus have this capability? I can't get an answer from my Lexus dealer. Does anyone have any information on the RX CD/DVD XM indash radio? I've owned the 2010 IS350c with XM and the same drop out problems. FYI, if you don't know which satellite receiver you have, you can tell by the ID code. XM is alpha-numeric for example; ABC123DE and Sirius is all numeric; 123456789.
