I would like to remove the cross bars from the roof rack, anyone ever try?

Just purchased my 07 LX470 and love it, EXCEPT for the GPS!!! How annoying that I have to be stopped to use it!! I have been reading some posts about getting into the wiring for the GPS and changing it, cutting wires or adding some sort of device. Before I get into that I wondered if anyone had any insite on the 2007, I understand that the 2007 GPS is different than the older ones. I would be very interested in the wiring diagram, if anyone knows where I might find or purchase one??? Thanks!
