  1. Hi bigz,

I just noticed a friend request from you. Sorry, I do not check those kinds of things.

  2. The following link will take you to a list of maintenance and repair documents for the RX300: http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt
  3. Go to the following site and search for "door" and then look for your part. Good luck! http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt#/shared/o55c5697lt/1/9328827/92954531/1
  4. There are salvage yards around that specialize in used engines and trannys with less than 30K miles. They also offer some type of warranty. I think you can get them for like half the price of rebuilt or less. Just a thought. Good luck.
  5. You need to have someone get the OBCII codes. Many times this will pinpoint the issue. AutoZone does it for free. Good luck!
  6. There are a couple of documents that may help locate your issue at the following link" http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt I would start with the Ignition file and then move on to the Engine Mechanical. I hope this is helpful. Good luck!
  7. You might be able to find some used servos but these things are so difficult to replace you might consider using new parts. I replaced the two on the passenger side this year--they were both "rattling" and making intermittent contact. I have read on this forum, when one goes bad you might as well replace the other. The heat was not working. My 2001 RX had about 120K miles. Good luck with whatever you decide.
  8. You can get a new key from a Lexus dealer using the serial number and proof of ownership. The key can be programed by the owner. Instructions attached. Good luck! Lexus Key and Remote Programming.rtf
  9. Attached is a couple of docs that will help with the self diagnosis of the A/C system. You may have a problem with the servos located behind the glovebox. Generally, you will hear a clicking noise behind the dash on the passenger side that will confirm the problem (but not necessarily). Also attached is documentation on the A/C system that will help you with the replacement. Servo part numbers: mode servo 87106-30371 air mix servo 87106-30340 I hear it is best to replace both at the same time if one has a problem. There is also a recirculation servo. I did not replace this one when at the same time as the others and it has not been a problem It is on the other side of the air handler. Good luck! Auto A:C-Heater system.rtf A:C System.pdf A_C Self Diagnostic.pdf
  10. Click here for a document that will help with any future electrical problems around the body of the car. Good luck.
  11. Search the attached file for MAF. Good Luck. SFI (SF) file.pdf
  12. I I didn't attach the document--sorry. The first document describes the different functions of A/F and O2 sensors. The second document will help you troubleshoot sensors and other components on your car. Hope it helps. A:F Sensors.pdf SFI (SF) file.pdf
  13. The attached document describes the functions of the A/F sensors and O2 sensors. One will not replace the other. Hope it is helpful.
  14. The following document should be helpful with your issue: http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt#/shared/o55c5697lt/1/9328827/92954991/1 There is also a 1999 RX300 manual that could be helpful: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52026 The 2003 RX300 repair manual at that link has a ton of documents for specific tasks. And, of course, the 2003 is basically the same as your 1999. I use it on my 2001. Good luck!
  15. The Body Mechanical document at the following link should be helpful: http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt If you download it you will be able to use search terms to locate your area of interest. Alternatively, you can try the 1999 RX300 Repair Manual at the following link (Note: It will start downloading as soon as you click the link): http://www.red928.com/Lexus/Lexus_-_RX-300_Repair_Manual_1999.pdf It may take a while to download since it is a 25.5MB document. Good luck!
  16. One option is leather slip over seat covers: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Coverking/Seat_Cover/C37CSC1L5LX7022.html?loc=Front&tlc=Interior+Accessories But have you tried searching for used seats? I did a quick search for a "used seat 2001 RX300". About half the price and trouble of the covers. Check out the following link: http://www.autopartsfair.com/lexus-usedparts/rx300-2001-front_seat.html I just took the first link of many. There are many other choices. Four bolts and unplug a couple of wire harnesses and the seat is out. Make sure the replacement has the same options as you current seat. Good luck!
  17. There is a manual at the following link that may help. Good Luck! http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52026
  18. Sorry to hear about your problem with your dashboard. I am happy to hear you have fixed the cause and hope you are able to find a replacement--for the dashboard. On a separate note, thanks for mentioning the dash cover. There is a really bad glare problem on my RX300 from the reflection of the dash off the windshield. The dashboard cover will be a perfect solution. Thanks and good luck!
  19. There are some manuals and documents at the following link that may be helpful. Even though you have a 1999, you might check out the mini manuals in the 2003 RX 300 Repair manual. Good luck! http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52026
  20. You list your car model as Avalon. However, you have posted to the RXxxx portion of this site. If you have an RX series vehicle you might look to the following site. Good luck! http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52026
  21. I know you are in London but you might start with the following website and see where it leads you. http://www.customsounds.com/home/ Their main store is on Burnet Rd. in Austin, TX. 512.454.3572 Good luck!
  22. I use Royal Purple synthetic: www.royalpurple.com/ It's more expensive going in but requires less frequency. I also purchased a very good one owner RX (2001). The previous owners were using a Mobile One blend. I noticed about a half a quart of loss between oil changes. Since I switched to Royal Purple, I have no loss even though I am going more miles between changes. Not sure why. Hope this helps. I have 152,000 miles on my RX and change the oil every 7,500 miles--even though they say you can go longer.
  23. Go to: http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt Download the SFI document. It will tell you about the RX300 sensors. Good kluck!
  24. You can download the document (and others) for easier viewing at: http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt
  25. Do you know where the Wireless Door Lock Control Receiver is? Is it under the passenger seat? Thanks. your profile indicates you have something other than an RX series vehicle. You might try searching this site in your model's section. Good luck. Oh No! I didn't change my profile I used to have 2001 IS300 but I sold it and just bought a 2000 RX300. I also own a 2002 SC430 too. The locations of the receivers are indicated on page BE-130 at the following link: http://www.box.net/shared/o55c5697lt/1/9328827/92954407/1
