it may be GSM, but you have to check the frequencies of the country your traveling to AND if the phone is LOCKED into the Verizon cell company. ;) Besides, isn't Sprint trying to get GSM world phones into their system too??? :whistles:

I agree. These projector headlamps, or whatever you call them, are pretty bright for the housing they come in. I wonder if the OEM bulbs we have on aren't the type of bulbs that slowly become dimmer over time??

hmmm, i didn't ask my guy about that. Vandalism, I presume, would be something that they are not responsible for and i highly doubt that my tint guy warrants my tint for that.

I remember that topic awhile back. I went to a housewarming of a client the other day. On the way out (I took my GX this time) some of the guests were checking out my GX. Then, my client, looking around for my 97 odyssey, told me (next to my GX) "This wouldn't happen to be your car, would it??" Then I told her "yup, it is" She was surprised. I guess it does give you a good reputation using a Lexus in business. Then the other guys that were looking at my GX started a conversation with me and now they were thinking of buying some investment prorperties in town. Well if my client (of the housewarming) buys another property, maybe she'll get a ride in it. Back to topic. Well I don't know if including a friend counts, I know a lady who's about 55 or somewhere in the 50s and drives a 97 ES300. If you would see her car, damn, lookin clean and still good. She's only got like 35k miles on that. Her husband drives a GX, so they're a Lexus family forever!

lexusk8 - who tinted your windows? ← Tint King (from Bridgeport CT, 203-384-2100). They did the whole job for $160, including lifetime warranty for whatever happens (i.e. peeling, cracking, bubbling). ← what brand is the tint?? I know that only Lumar and 3M tint films never bubble or fade ( what my tint guy said).

so what was wrong with the phone?? I was thinking about getting that L1400 before I got the Treo 650 and V551 but I decided on those phones because they are quad-band so I can use them when i vacation in the Philippines. (FYI- They are unlocked!!!!) almost got worried at one point when i found out they were both locked, especially the Treo 650. I couldn't imagine buying the unlocked Treo 650 for $700! If i didn't get my Treo unlocked, can that be a basis of me returning it for an unlocked model when my main reason for switching to Cingular from Sprint was the capability of changing SIM cards in different countries?? They didn't disclose that to me when I first bought the phone (especially they had 2 options but i was never told of the unlocked unit when i was shopping around for the treo).

Well, it's going to be a "revolution" in 06 with the new redesigns of the LX, LS, and SC and probably the launch of the HPX too. :P

they probably don't have it on the GX or RX YET so that they have something new to put in their redesigns and gives you the hint to change your car when the new redesigns come out with new features (even though the features don't seem new to other cars)
