ok. i'm back now. Now we can't compare apples to oranges here. The GX is a "rugged" Luxury Utility Vehicle based on a truck. now the RX330 is based on the Camry. Rx330 gets a better mpg than our GX, and is a lot handier for in-town use (really handy using those loaners). there are a lot of neat features the RX has but the GX doesn't . i.e. lighted Lexus trim on the door. auto rear door (GX has side openning door). DRL on the RX is still the biight light's lamp, GX is the signal light(which means that the chances of it busting out is higher, and I already had both of them bust out once!). There's many more to name. main reason i got the GX, didn't like the design of the 330 that much (no offense) and I wanted something new that will "turn heads"! lol :whistles: :D

I don't have a third seat. w/o rear A/C is not bad. I don't get what u mean on 3. I get roughly the sticker MPG on the highway. i'll post more info when i get back from LA today or tomorrow. ;)

NOTHING like this on my 05-GX470- Perfectly quite as of yet-Hope it stays that way, that kinda stuff will drive you BONKERS! :cries: ← hahaha. that's why i have to keep the moonroof shade closed to mute the rattling. <_<

If you don't have an 05 GX, how do you know the Treo works now? ← That's why the keyword is IF it would work. (read the statement again). few months back, heard it doesn't work hand in hand but they are trying to get a fix for it soon, which i wouldn't be surprised if it would work now.

old cell # got transfered to the new phone. this is so strange. the "new voicemail" envelope and notice comes on and off whenever it wants!!?!?!?

personally, (don't have an 05 GX though) if the PalmOne Treo 650 works now with the bluetooth system of the GX, go for that if your leaning towards PDA phones. ;)

i doubt that majority of 05 GX owners might experience them, but my service tech told me of the "normal" defects of this vehicle. 1. vibration 2. clunk (says that 95% of GX470s have that, even till now) those are the major ones to look out for.

nope, mine had a clear seal on it and i got it from EB Games. This PSP is so sick dude! I've got NFSU Rivals. can't get enough of it yet.

thanks for the reply, but the rattle comes from the rubber of the side of the moonroof that when you push up on it, it creates the sound. it actually makes the sound eveytime you close the moonroof. bothering but not a major problem for me.

just want to make a survery, kinda lazy to make a poll, but i want to know if any other GX owner out there has any rattling that comes from the moonroof. I noticed it just like 2 months ago (after having it for 2 years) and when i press on the moonroof, it makes the rattle sound. anyway to fix it???

my parents back in 1997, when they still had their salesguy at Honda, let them take the car out for a test drive, all by themselves! I was with them and I saw it right in front of my eyes. salesguy got the license info and all that stuff, he gave my dad the keys and we took the car out for a 15 mile test drive. before i got the GX, there's was a demo unit in the dealership (lucky they got one from a buyback they did because a previous owner got paralyzed or something and couldn't get into the GX, so the dealer bought it back) and when it got to my turn, the salesguy (wasn't my sales guy but was really friendly to helping me) let me take the GX out for a test drive STRAIGHT from the dealership parking lot. he actually told me where to go first before hitting the highway, some backroad that was so bumpy so he could demonstrate the off road toughness and capability of the car. the test drive wasn't as far as the honda one, but it was the second time i've been/heard of a test drive w/o the salesguy taking it out to an open shopping lot before the customer gets to drive it. B)

With proper maintenance & rotations, you have a lot of life left in them. ;) ← ok, thanks. I was just wondering because my RX300 tires (well they were only Goodyear Integritys) were already half way done at 25k and thinking that the GX is a lot bigger, it might eat up more thread. Good to hear that they still have a long way to go! :D

wow, that police report is surprising! yeah it sucks that the person at the rear is always at fault. well this thing happened to my mom with the RX300 3 years ago. She was rear-ended by an old lady in a Nissan Maxima and she got sandwiched into a commercial Ford Windstar. didn't cause any frame damage to the RX, old lady had several accidents within the last few years, but most importantly, MY MOM SURVIVED W/O ANY INJURIES BECAUSE OF THE RX300!!!

some GX owners have issue on the outside temp gauge itself.

this is a question to any GX or LX owners out there. I don't remember if i asked this before, but how many miles usually before i need to change the tires of my GX?? currently I have 28k on it and still looks great. I have Michelin Cross-Terrains on it (came with it). :whistles:

that is if you buy the tires from them. otherwise, you'd have to pay (but very inexpensive though). like my GX, i had it rotated about 8 months ago at costco (can't remember how much it was) but they didn't have nitrogen yet. must be a new thing for 05!

not my problem yet because there was no option of bluetooth in my GX back when it first came out! <_< also, MTDN (mytreo.net) is a great site to check out for those having problems with their bluetooth treo 650.
