  1. the only reason why, personally, there should be sub-forums is that if there's specific questions about a particular model, it would be a lot easier to search the answer if every car had their own sub-forum. then general talk can be in the general forum (i.e. RX300/RX330/RX400h, with sub-forums for RX300, RX330, and RX400h.). that's my two cents :whistles:
  2. actually, i've already broken one of those hooks (my dad pulled on it, thinking u pull down on it, but it's a push in thing). they're kinda flumsy, but still serves the purpose.
  3. probably the reason for it was that the rear A/C is located right on top of the coat hooks. btw, there's a pair on each side.
  4. Quite often we would go to look at a new European machine, and there would be Japanese guys with little notebooks and sketch pads swarming all over those machines. ← LMAO!!!!
  5. i'm not sure if the GX470s that have 3rd seats have coat hooks, but mine does (i have no 3rd seat). i'll post pics when i find time! ;)
  6. ouch, those pix are heart breaking!!! :cries: :cries:
  7. nice :o ! looks like it's slightly faster than my GX, and costs just a very little bit more than my GX!!! ^_^ :D
  8. once u guys get some mileage on it, mpg will be at least sticker mpg. (running at 30k right now)
  9. another thing (for those really picky about cars) It hides the under part of the car so people don't easily see if it's dirty or clean (if it's clean, under part is usually nice and black, usually the conditon before used in rain).
  10. i guess i'll agree on "yes" for this one, to help those first timers here on LOC easily find their info. sometimes people have a hard time trying to find the info they need about their car especially if the main forum has topics for all three cars (Rx300, RX330, RX400h). ;)
  11. hey guys, i'm just happy we can fold them. some cars have side mirrors that are permanently sticking out!!! ;)
  12. that is so disrespectful to tell anyone to go away. doesn't mean he's got a new RX means he can be the boss and wants his own "elite" forum for the RX400h owners. 75% of the RX400h or more is basically an RX330 so why should he start his own forum?? i'm siding with the RX300/Rx330 people and that we should all share the same forum, new or old, good or bad condition cars, still same forum. PERIOD.
  13. Lexus all the way in every aspec (except powerful engines, in my opinion)
  14. i agree. i love these Cross Terrains!! If it lasts roughly 100k (like you said u got on ur LTX M/S tires), I would be so happy!! tires these sizes and Michelin brand will cost me a lot of $$$ (unless i get a cheaper brand tire) :D
  15. pix look great (especially if the car in the pic is nice and clean!) lol ;)
  16. It's a great system for those who have a Treo 650. It's just like the one in the car. Got it for $238 + tax (because the 05 version's coming out but i really need one) and am planning to use it when i fly over to New York to tour around and use it in a rental car. It's a great system except...... My question is this, I kinda heard that those who have the Tom Tom Navigator 2004 GPS system are eligible for a free upgrade to a new software. Anyone know more about that?? If so, PM me! :)
  17. i've got one in the garage (which i used awhile back before i had my lawn done) , it's a Green Craftsman. Don't know anything else about it!!! :whistles: oh, i do know that it only has 2 blades though!! ;)
  18. that's odd. I was thinking that it may be the clunk problem that some of us GX owners experience (my service rep told me that some LX470s have it also). Only vibration I know is in the front driveline at speed of 65-75mph & around 1800-2300 rpm.
  19. Good choice for those who got Michelin Cross Terrains as their replacement tires. I remember back in 02, it was time for me to change my tires also. So i went to Costco and checked out their tires. I don't remember the price, but I remember that at around July of 02, the Cross Terrains were somewhat a "new model" of tires so Costco could barely get them in. I ended up getting them from America's Tire Co. which costed a lot less than Costco. Glad to hear that it's now easy to get this tire. I'm also happy that the Gx i got had Cross Terrains on them originally!!! :D
  20. yup, good old grapevine!! :P ok. back to topic. If i did have both RX and GX, it wouldn't make a difference on which one i should bring. It all depends if i have a lot of luggage, then it's the GX. If it's a travel lite trip, I'd use an RX (especially now that the gas prices are so freaking high! ) . Power, is about the same between my RX300 and my GX470. About the same power with the 330 also (when i used the loaner). The Gx is a lot heavier, so the higher torque compensated that resulting in the same 0-60mph stats between the two. I do like the 5-speed instead of the 4 speed of my RX300. Although, after trying at least 10 loaner RX330s, I think the RX330 is a little bit sluggish at times. But hey, if you've never tried Lexus before, I'd be happy with an RX! Another reason why I'd take an RX to a trip (just found out after I got my GX). 1. RX is more handy in big cities, especially if the place is crowded. 2. It's harder to stop the GX, considering that the GX is obviously larger and heavier, which means more pads over the long run(my 30k check-up i just had the other day told me that it's almost time for new pads <_< ). But my only con about my RX300: 1. Eats up more tire thread than the GX??? (well maybe because I originally had Goodyear Integritys on the RX). I had to change the tires of the RX at 25k (because it was more than half done). But unlike my GX, I already have 30k on it, and my service rep told me I still have 10/11 left (but the reason could be that I got Michelin Cross Terrains on it originally) !!!!
  21. KDSS, was an available option starting with the 04s. I am not quite sure if it is optional if you get the Sport Package or KDSS is part of the sport package. :whistles: btw, anyone know if the KDSS problems were fixed?? (leaning)
  22. oh, and price is more or less the same. ;)
  23. this was posted by strindl awhile back: The New Sport Package option is mainly cosmetic, with the exception of KDSS being standard on it. The cosmetic changes with the sport package are: smoked bezel headlamp and foglamp trim 17 in alloy wheels with dark graphite finish (these are the same as standard except for color) Dark Graphite finished roof rack Dark tinted backup lens Chrome Exhaust Tip Black Birds Eye Maple interior wood trim Dark Graphite finish on center instrument panel Black finish on upper instrument panel The only other change I noticed was the Bluetooth integration into the Nav/Mark Levinson system. The power lumbar support is listed as standard on both drivers and passengers seats. The color choices for both interior and exterior are identical, with the exception of the Black Birds Eye Maple wood trim being offered on the Sport Package.
