I get this- Error: Invalid Referrer You may not type in your user url into the browser. Please log in from the login page. If you are using the proper login page this error is likely being caused by a proxy server or firewall removing the headers from your HTTP requests. You will need to contact your network administrator.. ← ??? I don't quite understand. What I actually meant was (sorry i didn't clearly state it) that everytime I click Matthew_McNally's second link to join, i would be refered to the login page. Once i login, i'm just taken to my home screen and still said that "Your Team: No Team" but i eventually figured it out by going to one of the links on the side and finally found the group. Darn this game is hard! I've lost the 2 challenges i went through and only won the challenges against the computer. oh well! :P

Touch-up Paint For Rx300's Bumper?
denslexusgx470 replied to LexKid630's topic in 99 - 03 Lexus RX300
just give the dealer the VIN number, and that should pull up the paint in their supplies. or just tell them the paint color and they could find the right "2nd" tone paint of your indigo ink pearl RX. -
hmm, that's interesting. i heard of another guy who bought a CPO RX300 and had the same "X" on one of his headlights. he thought it was because they replaced the lens cover of that one headlight, and not the other.

i would say, go with Michelins. price, uuuhhh, i forgot how much my Cross Terrains were back then (and they were the most expensive back in july 02 because they just came out). But all the tire stores could easily get this tire and give you a good price, unlike my time. <_< :P
-
It is defiinitely behind the glove box; there are instructions on replacing it in your manuals ← lol. that would be one portion of the manual that i really don't read because i normally have the dealer do all this. ;)
-
one difference, well not a significant one, would be that there would be less look-a-likes around town (well for my town at least) because the LX is more expensive, unlike the GX, which is more affordable around here (almost every imaginable person here in Fresno drives a GX). <_<

ok. never mind. I just found out how to join. :P

i joined but i couldn't join the LexusOwnersClub team. Someone HELP ME!!! :cries: Probably I can't race today because I just bought my car and I bought a new muffler but it says that I have to wait 40 minutes before my car is done.

Am I The Only One Who Over Paid For Their Gx?
denslexusgx470 replied to studlee's topic in 03 - 09 Lexus GX470
seems like this topic's been here awhile but i haven't read this yet. I'm a person who over paid for their GX because I was one of the first. I heard like at the year end of 04, they offered GX470s w/ 3rd seat for $45k, price i paid w/o 3rd seats. -
When I ordered mine, I had already read some comments about problems people were attributing to the Dunlops, so I was considering my options if mine came in with those tires mounted on it. I would have probably required that my dealer swap them out for the Michelins or Bridgestones. Looking at all of those tires on GX's at my dealership, I did note that the wear rating on the Michelins was longer then the Bridgestones or Dunlops. ← EXACTLY! ;) That's why I'm happy with the Cross Terrains because the thread life seems to be long, even though considering the GX is big and would require more thread than smaller cars. Especially the Bridgestones, they are really known for short er thread life. I don't know if the RX300 was a good comparison, but it had Goodyear Integritys on them and it was more than half done at 25k miles. My Gx, at 31k miles, is still ok with the Michelins. B)

so they replaced the right headlamp cover, but not the left one????
-
luckily mine came rollin in with the Cross Terrains B)

well not quite. i don't know about other states, but small towns here in california where people just drop by to buy gas and eat, prices are around $3.00 a gallon AT LEAST for Unleaded only. i think at that one stop we made, it was $3.15 for unleaded, $3.25 for Unleaded plus, and $3.35 for premium. ← I just filled up at a Shell station and paid $2.29 for 92 octane :cries: ← that's not bad. that's the price for the cheapest 87 octane in my town. :o ;)

Which La Area Dealers Will Deal On Price
denslexusgx470 replied to rockhead's topic in Dealers & Pricing Forums
for LA area, i recommend my guy who sold me my RX300 back in 2000. Lexus of Westminster and ask for Carey Thomas. ;) -
oh yea, maybe that's what that is. yea, interior is ugly as long as it's based on the BMW 7 series. :whistles:

well, as per my service advisor, he says about 95% of GX470s have the clunk issue. it's probably a minor design flaw so it may happen to a lot of GX470s, and some may go lucky not having it. i don't really care about it that much. they might just break something else if i have them fix it. ;)

looks like a great site, but can i use it to upload photos of a vacation??
-
ok. i got back from my trip and it was the first time i used my newer digital camera. now on my previous digital camera, i could easily upload my photos onto geocities or on friendster. now they keep on telling me that "it needs to be a JPG file" and blah blah blah, when it is JPG. how do i upload?!?!?!?! i want to share it with family and friends, but i can't upload! if this will help, the camera is a Sony Cybershot DSC-P200
-
i don't know, but could this be the same clunk as the one in the GX (except we got our clunks from factory, not from mechanics that don't know what they r doin). :cries:

i know this is off topic, but i was in Victoria, BC last year. nice weather up there and lots of greenery. ;) B)

looking at that exterior picture (not really seeing the rear end of it) but the rear is leaning towards that one car, forgot what it's called. it's the one that looks like an S-class on the front. is it a maserati? i wasn't sure what it is but that's how the rear end of this new S looks like. oh man, i really forgot what that car was. but i just saw it in the movie i watched a few days ago "Be Cool" the one (if anyone has seen the dvd) that Sin LaSalle is driven in. :P

this is what i find strange in Manhattan. ok. i just came back from a big vacation in the east coast. NY, DC, etc.... now while i was in NYC, my relative toured me around. I don't know if i was just whacked (because i barely got 2 hours of sleep on that red eye flight) but i noticed that there weren't that many gas stations in Manhattan. so i really never found out how much was gas in NYC. now my relative said (because after NY, I took a rental van) if i ever need a fill-up, do it in Jersey. I really didn't know how much difference the prices were in Jersey than NYC, but it's definitely cheaper than Fresno, Ca. I drove around the East Coast, from NY, down to DC, then up to Niagara Falls, then Toronto, then down to Newport, RI, then Boston, MA then Joplin, Missouri then home. so far (as i mentioned) the cheapest was $1.92 somewhere in Missouri, i think. On this trip, i really had the chance to see how the prices are in different states. really fun. another thing that i find a bout the van was that it was eating up a lot of gas at first (it was a 2005 Chevy Uplander with only 5,300 miles when i got it from JFK) so i thought i was gonna spend a lot of $$ for the gas, but after driving around a lot, i kinda "broke in" the engine a little more. the van was only used by, i'd say, 3-4 people (cuz it had 5,300 miles on it, and it was a one way drop off at JFK from Texas.) . in the end, i ended up putting more mileage on it than what the previous 3-4 owners placed on it COMBINED. that was a 5,404 mile trip/vacation. not to mention that i barely drove around in the big cities. gas prices, in a small town of Fresno, CA is the same as the big cities. I was really shocked when i got back that it hasn't gone down that much.:chairshot: oh, and if anyone ever drives on I-40 west bound into california, when you first enter California, DON'T BUY GAS AT THE FIRST FEW EXITS because we did stop at the 3rd exit, i think, for a bathroom break, after entering California and gas prices, were over $3.00 a gallon for UNLEADED.

try this site. i dunno if it's an affiliate of LOC, but the setup looks similar to LOC. lol http://us.toyotaownersclub.com/ ;) B)

yea, with the RX300, it's suppose to come with a cig lighter plug. these dealers wouldn't tell you everything (unfortunately and depressing). take my previous rx300 for example. my salesperson knew it had been in an accident (not my fault, got rear ended, but minor damage) and they bought it for the price of a car that hasn't been in an accident and sold it as , idk, "accident free" vehicle. I bet u they didn't tell the new owner of my RX that it had an accident history. all they did was slap on a 100k warranty on it and sold it, "clean", and "certified". as for the other stuffs that were suppose to come with the car, 2 remote keys, 1 key w/o remote, and that one credit card valet key thingy + manual, lemon law booklet, and service booklet. now was the tonneau cover standard?? u should have that also.
