  1. awww, how nice of you. still damage the Lex though even if she was cute. :P
  2. doing anything else while driving is very dangerous. That was the reason for why my mom got rear ended in the RX back in 02. the old lady wasn't paying attention to a sudden stop because she was giving a lot of attention to her dogs in the back seat. Add to that, her radio was hecka loud that you thought someone had a microphone and was speaking in it in a concert hall. after all that, you know what happened? she didn't say "sorry" or "anyone hurt?" but instead attended to her dogs with those questions in her mind. ayyy, :chairshot:
  3. yea, that's the picture of the card i saw somewhere. oh i think i know where u got that from. it's from lexus.com isn't it??
  4. not necessarily. i admit that the RX300 tires (Goodyear) had very short life. I changed mine at 25k miles. Now here's the thing, my GX has factory Michelin Cross Terrains, and they are not even close to half life and i've been using it for 32k miles. So Michelins are really good in longer thread life than the Goodyears. Those replacing RX300 tires, go for Cross Terrains. Even though there was an article back several months ago about some problem with it (don't remember what it was) but personally, it's a great tire. They're available for order at most tire stores. ;)
  5. i've seen a sample picture of the card. It's a silver "L" logo on an either white or silver background, maybe on a Lexus vehicle. looks sharp. i'm thinking of getting it. but then again, i RARELY use credit cards. besides, i got a Lexus card back in 2003 with a picture of a GX and "Lexus" on the top right corner. ;) B)
  6. B) hey nice to hear u can go online more than before, even if it's just one day a week. ;)
  7. i really have no clue on what KDSS really does, but there has been an issue before that some people have GX470s that lean to one side (if equipped with KDSS). that's my only opinion. ;)
  8. uh oh. $61 a barrel of gas. take cover!!! :o gas prices are gonna rise next week so better fill up those tanks as much as you can before the prices soar higher than before! :cries:
  9. it's nice that they do the 15k so that they "check" all the things if they r working properly and they also chech how much brakes you have left. they also rotate the tires, i think, on the 15k. for pricing, i don't remember how much it was. the Lexus card paid for it so i didn't care about the price that much ;) ← Thanks, I took the advice and had it done. That seems to be the oponion from varouis places on the net ← np ;) these kinds of vehicles are higher maintainance, compared to a Honda or Toyota. so servicing is a vital part to a longer life of the car.

  11. let me think. 98-RX300 came out as a 99 model 99- none that i can think of 00- newer spoiler, fixed some electrical issues 01-new tail/front lights, VSC (not sure if the earlier RXs had this), avail Nav 02- none that i can think of 03- none that i can think of (aside from what Lexkid said) now there's another thing that i know changed, but don't remember when and if they did the change. did they ever change the premium audio system to ML in the 01s-03s or did they keep it with Nakamichi??
  12. i think the 4runner would have the clunk because they have the same components of the GX. now i dunno about the dimensions of the engine if they are the same as the GX, but i've heard that 4runners get the clunk too.

  14. post this up in general discussions. ;)
  15. when you mentioned there's another recall. what is the other recall besides the one you mentioned above? anything related to my gx470 03' ? thanks ← sorry i didn't notice your reply. um, depends when ur 03 was built. if you were among the first batch or so, there were the 3 recalls: 1. GVWR 2. air suspension pin 3. something else that i don't remember right now. don't remember if you had these done? consider this, did you receive a $1k Lexus card?? but i'm not sure if the clunk, vibration, creaking seats, leaning (04s and newer) were considered "recalls". since it's been about 1 1/2 months since i posted this, anyone received the recall notice yet?? i wanna hear inputs on how the service goes before i take mine in. :P
  16. i'm guessing you bought a "palmone" treo 650, not a Sprint Treo 650 since you said it's unlocked. in that case, does it easily work with Sprint, since Sprint is CDMA and doesn't need a SIM card??

  18. my case for choosing Cingular (which i'm not really that happy with) was that I needed a GSM cell phone. :D
  19. Cingular Treo 650 ->unlocked Motorola V551
  20. well so far in america 1992 Honda Accord DX -> 4 door, great car. 1996 Nissan Quest -> bad bad, rear wiper switch broke right away, too many probs 1997 Honda Odyssey-> slow, but very reliable. still running good at 126k right now 2000 Lexus RX300-> glove box rattle, otherwise, very contented (if it didn't get rear ended) 2003 Lexus GX470 -> well, several problems, but that's becuz it's a first batch. at 31k right now
  21. sorry, the driveline design is kinda a "flaw" that most GX470s will have it, considering all the drivelines are the same. some will get away with it, some unfortunate (your not the only one). my service rep told me that 95% of the GX470s here in Fresno, CA have the clunk. wait for the redesign so that those might not have the clunk. ;)
  22. wow, things are getting a little wacky these days
  23. yup, right here. except, i only hear it during winter (or when it's cold) but right now, with this blazing hot summer, no creaking seats. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...topic=11240&hl=
  24. ouch, sorry to hear that. if it's only the bumper, it's not that bad. At least everyone's ok, that's the main thing. ;) haha, i find that amusing when you say that people are surprised to see an SUV moving w/o hearing the engine.
  25. i'd agree. this is one of those times that you want to be contacted and given attention of the sales people at the dealer. ;)
