  1. Im getting ready to clear the rear turn signals on my 98 gs and could use some help.I know this topic has been covered at one point I saw a link to some good step by step instructions,but now Im having a hard time finding this forum.Can someone point me in the right direction.Thanks

  3. Like I said there is no Major diff. Some small things but nothing that makes one better than the other.
  4. Check ebay for the stb there is a guy who sells a TRD one for 177.00 Thats what Ive got and Im happy with it especially for the price.Rod Millen also makes a sweet one its more expensive and good luck getting one.

  6. The 430 has a little more torque but the times are slower than the 400.Id rather have the e shift than better emissions,and besides 430 is a benz model.
  7. There is no major diff. and one is not better than the other.
  8. I was told by a friend at my lexus dealer that they inspect the water pump when doing the timing belt and replace if necessary.Mine didnt need it.
  9. Keep the drill away from the car.And the wife if poss.
  10. My biggest concern with this shake is the stress it may be putting on other parts.My poor tie-rod ends!
  11. It is a 98 and I had it replaced in 03 at 82k.
  12. I had my timing belt changed on my 98 GS4 at around 80k and there were some pretty big cracks in it.You may not need it now but Id do it sooner than later.
  13. There are alot of different comparisons you can make but w/o a doubt the GS is the better car.
  14. Did you run your stock amp with this sub?Also I know this has been covered because ive read it can someone find this topic. And I know the search engine works I just cant use it properly.

  16. What are centering rings and where do you get them also how much?
  17. I was thinking nail polish remover but oven cleaner.That doesnt sound too safe.Have you done this personally?Ill try the polish rem. now and see.

I have recently removed my trunk emblemd on my gs4.Ive gotten most of the tape off by just rubbing it off but but Im having a hard time getting some of the small spots off.You can barely see them but you can feel their is some left if you run your hand avr the spots.Im asking because I dont plan on putting these back on.Ive tried goo gone,rubbing alcohol,and wd40,none have worked.Does anyone know what will make this job easier?Maybe something Id have lying around the house.Thanks

Im teling you once you atart you wont stop.This is a very capable car and I also planned on keeping it stock and a daily driver.Now its a very tough and capable daily driver.P.S. these mods have been on for years and I havent had a single prob of any kind and also no rattles.These cars are just as reliable if the mods are done correctly.

Where to begin.Ill try to mak it short.Full susp.l-tuned,stb,sways,recalibrated steering ecu,Srt intake,Borlas,Drilled slotted rotors,and im getting ready to do the drivetrain.A 3;76 ring &pinion on a trd1.5 carrier,2800 torque conv.valve body upgrade,and tranny cooler.Im sitting staring at the parts just waitin on the snow to start so I can put her up and get started.
  21. Yeah I dont have any lt-4s under my belt but alot of lt-1s.I steer clear of lt-4s.For now atleast.Sounds like you have a pretty tough car.My buddies had only a k&n filt.and exhaust and was running a 13 flat.
