  1. There is a recall on the 1999 RX300 for the auto feature on the headlights and for defective brake tubing. Call your Lexus dealer and they should fix it for free.
  2. If you want a very quiet, smooth ride, purchase the Michelin MXV4s. I would not recommend an SUV tire for an RX300 unless you plan on trail riding.
  3. I agree. I own a 1999 and a 2000 RX300. The 2000 is definitely a better car. The 1999 models have some problems. Does anyone know exactly why the 1999's check engine light comes on and the car seems to lack on engine power???
  4. I take my RX300 down the street to the Speedy Lube every 3,000 miles and they charge me $17 to change my oil. I take it to Toyota's express service every 15,000 mi. to change the transmission fluid. Costs $40. I change my air filter myself. Why would anyone take their car to a Lexus dealership for scheduled maintainance or any repairs other than warranty issues???? I'm amazed at how many people are throwing their money away!!!
