  1. What did you mean by crossover? I tried the Acura MDX but the back seat is tiny and very hard to get in and out of. I'll check out the Toyota, Honda, Nissan Vans. Thanks for the ideas. Any words on the reliability of any of these? None of the above except maybe the Quest had very good reliability in the past. (Toyota-Sludge, Honda-Tranny)
  2. I am trading in my 2001 GS430 for a 7 seater of some kind for the growing family. The dealer offered $21500 for mine. If anybody is interested, make an offer. 651-775-1898. Also any reccomendation on a reliable minivan :cries: (I know, I know).
  3. Not too happy with how noisy it is for a Lexus. Next would be LS430. (all wheel drive if possible)
  4. I drive a GS430 in Minnesota with Bridgestone Blizzaks and a bag of sand in the trunk. All I can say is that it drives and handles better than my Acura CL (FWD) with all-season rubber in the snow and ice. I only use "snow" mode in heavy snow or in really icy conditions. I haven't had any professional driving training but I've been driving for about 22 years.
  5. As winter is nearing I want to get ready for it with a set of snow tires. I have seen some feedbacks on the blizzaks being very good snow/Ice tires. What is the feel on Winterforce? They are way cheaper nad the tread looks very aggressive. Anybody have any experience with those? Also there aren't any steel wheels available at tirerack. Is steel not recommended for the winter use on a GS430?
  6. Thanks for the reply guys. I am in Champlin. I got the car last night. :P It is wonderful. Beautiful car with unbeleivable power. :D
  7. I am considering this GS430 in Minnesota. (2001 White) It was traded in by somebody from Eden Prairie. I am hoping that the prevoius owner or anybody who knew them is a member of this forum and can give me some background info on the car. Also I would appreciate any insight on driving it in the winter. Would a set of snow tires and some weight in the trunk get me through? Thanks.
  8. Thanks.. I really appreciate your help.
  9. I am looking to buy this GS400 with 64000 miles. Could someone run a carfax on it? (VIN JT8BH68X5X0018881) Also any input on using this car in snow with snow tires. Thank you
  10. Thanks, I appreciate the info. I will go test drive a GS and LS this weekend and probably get the one that feels the best combination of sportiness and comfort. I am also considering the RX 330 (wife likes that ).
  11. Nobody in this forum driven both LS and GS to be able to give a comparison? Also anybody with a GS from the snowy part of the country?
  12. Hi, I am looking to buy a 98-2003 GS or LS 400/430. I love the quiet ride of the LS but I want the performance and looks of the GS. My questions are. 1. Is the GS as quiet inside as the LS? (I have driven LS400 &430) 2. How's the rear drive in snowy conditions? (I live in Minnesota) 3. Is there a big performance advantage to GS430 over the GS 400? Thanks in advance for all the input.
