Hey im taking SKPERFORMANCE advice and putting up a set of BBS wheels for sale. I had them on a sc300 about 2 years ago but dont have the car anymore. The 2 front wheels have some curb rash so im selling the whole set pretty cheap. The two back wheels are in excellent condition and there is plenty of life on all 3 of the tires. Im asking $800 obo Let me know I have a paypal.

One way to check for vacuum leaks is to spray engine start, or some combustable spray, near all the vacuum lines while the engine is running. If you get to a spot where the idle increases, that's where the leak is. The leak will suck in the fumes from the combustable spray and cause the engine speed to increase like you pressed the gas pedal. But, be careful not to blow yourself up!!!! This can be dangerous. Especially with a hot engine. I did it from a cold start where the idling seems to be hitting hard the most.

First off i want to know if everyone who has one is very pleased with the cars performance as a luxury/sports car and what are some common problems to look for. Reason im asking is because im planning to buy one used and want to make sure the biggest common problems with the car, if any are already fixed so im not buying a lemon. Any input would be helpful. My mechanic told me you should replace the mounts when you change the struts but i didnt listen to them and just changed my struts and kept the same mounts since they were oem struts anyway. I didnt have as much mileage as you but they worked fine. I felt i made the right choice and saved money Just to be safe some signs of wear would be suspension noise like squeeking, uneven tire wear, suspension steering misalignment.

When my car was totaled my company told me the official quote they go by is whatever comes up on nada.com. It wasnt as much as i thought the value was either so i pulled all my reciepts with the car including recent oil changes, brand new tires, air intake, and exhaust. With all that and recent repairs i was able to get $2000 more than what they initially offered. Hope that helps a little

Yeah i bought this years before the recession was anywhere near now i wish i had the money right now for a few other things. I dont even have my car anymore it got totaled a year ago. Ive been waiting for my brother to buy a lexus so i can sell him my rims but he bought a bmw now im stuck with these. Im considering selling them even if i get a few hundred at this point.

At my shop if it wasnt broken when i brought it in and then they messed up they are liable. I would of not paid anything since they broke it then again if you refuse to pay they might only break something else. Try to find a better shop yours sounds kinda sketchy.

How come i dont see that many people with bbs rims on their lexus or any japanese car for that matter? I think bbs makes great rims and the quality is superior to most rims out their. Im just wondering. Heres a pic of wheels i had on my sc 300 tell me they wouldnt look great on an IS 300

Ive been a member of a couple different forums too this one being my latest that i joined just today but i realized club lexus is wayyyyy to strict about some of the rules they have the moderators there are harsh. Just reading their forum rules made me decide to look for a better forum out there for lexus's and here i am. Did you know to sell something you have to have 300 posts and someone to vouch for you cmon now thats just ridiculous. At least your being the bigger person and walking away someone with your knowledge i see it as their loss.
