  1. Den, I can definitely see the letters, but I can't tell how deep they go. How about you try some scratch remover followed by wax? My guess is it would make the scratches much less noticeable. I've used Mother's California Gold Scratch Remover for some time, though I heard NuFinish just released one that's supposed to be great.
  2. I hear you. Even my dealer doesn't have it. That's why I said that many dealers don't know about it. Go to www.lexus-parts.com and look it up, or search for "gx470 cargo" on ebay. It does say Lexus on it, but like I said, I went to check it out and didn't like it, which is a shame, because I really wanted it (I'm a sucker for all accessories that say Lexus on them). Here's an excerpt of an email reply from a parts manager, dated 6/29/05: Yes, this new mat was release approximately 4 weeks ago to all Lexus Dealers. I can only imagine some dealers have yet to change there inventory since I'm sure most of them have an existing stock of WeatherTech mats. The new mat is very nice as it gives you the option to have the 3rd row seating with the cutouts or not. And best of all, it has the Lexus logo on the mat!
  3. Take a look at my post again. The new one is from Lexus.
  4. Don't mean to revive an old thread, but... Allen, I am curious to know how the dealer addressed the handle and "closing effort" issues. I have similar issues on my '04, and although they don't bother me too much, I'd like to get them addressed if the fix is simple. My truck is going into the dealer later this week, and I may consider mentioning this to them. I know it's been 2 years... Sorry! Thanks in advance for any light you can shed.
  5. Lexus is now making a cargo liner for the GX, although many dealers still don't know about it. Anyway, I went to a local dealer to check it out, thinking of repacing the Weathertech liner that I have in the truck, and I wasn't impressed. It's too "plasticky" (as opposed to "rubbery" like the Weathertech), and the grey one is not even grey like the interior of the truck. It's black because it's supposed to match the step on the rear bumper. Go figure...
  6. Hi folks, first time posting... I did a search on this topic, but found nothing. I have a slight rattle on my 9700G coming from the glove box. When I look at the glove box, I can clearly see that it is slightly misaligned. On the side closer to the driver, I can push it in and make it even with the passenger side. This is the cause of the rattle. Basically, the box is fully seated on the right but not on the left. I was wondering if any of you have had this problem and have been able to address it yourselves or had your dealer tackle it. I have no problem mentioning it to the dealer, except that with all that nice wood around the glove box, I get a bit paranoid about anyone using tools around that area... Thanks!
