just out of curiousity, have you checked the basics i.e. a clean air filter? This sounds like a hard one to diagnose.

Not sure how trusting your dealer is, but it may be worth paying for their opinion--considering fixing it yourself. Sorry, not much help here.

I've never heard of such a thing--painting the interior. I've heard of swapping colors via 1. replacing carpet 2. replacing seats 3. replacing door panels, headliner 4. replacing dash After spending tons of money, messing with all the electrical (dash,doors, etc.), I'm sure you will be spending way more than what a new one costs... Just keep looking.

I'm considering buying a GS (300, 350, but now haev expanded my scope to a 430) 2006. What's you highway and city milege like? And what's the maintenance like on these (other that oil changes and such). Thanks in advance. Kris

All, It's time for a new car--not new but you get the point :) Considering a Lexus 2005 or 2006 LS 430 (maybe other models), but something at least close. What's the maintenance on these typically like? What problems are to be expected? What's the highway MPG like? What's the real deal on power or decent, lacking? Thanks in advance. Kris
