Today I found a crack in my exhast pipe! With the heat shield removed I found a hairline crack that was on the top of the exhaust pipe about 6 inches downstream from my O2 sensor. I had to use a mirror to get a good photo of this. Look to the left of the sharpie line on the exhaust. Thanks for sharing your experience it has saved me $$!

I have a 2001 LS 430 with the P04030 Code. I am taking it in to have the heat shield removed to look for cracks in the Y pipe. I hope it is the root cause of my code. I hate to purchase a new Cat or O2 Sensor and have the CEL light still on. Wish me luck

How do I Automatically have the car Unlock Doors when turning off 2001 LS430 ? Does anyone know how to change this setting? Does it have to be done by a dealer? Thanks in advance.

I ended up pulling the fuse for the Leveling . The fuse is located in the passenger side fuse box. No more Warning "Headlight Leveling" Light!

You can substitute a 5 cent 1/4 watt resistor.... Check the shop/repair manual for the range of resistance for the leveling sensor and pick something in the middle to start. Then adjust the resistance empirically, trial and error, until the auto-leveling sequence settles at about the right, desired, height. Hopefully you can help me. I have a 05 LS 430 with the same problem. The light will flash for minutes and then just go away. My guess is the problem is getting worse and the flashing light happens more frequently. Can anyone help to diagnose what the problem might be and if it is a module can I use a replaceemnt from any other lexus that has AFS? Wayne, What specific resistor do I need to purchase? Can you describe how to install it? Thanks
