  1. i've already had the bank 1 and bank 2 a/f sensors replaced. now, I want to replace the single oxygen sensor, but do not know the correct denso part number. can anyone help??
  2. i want to find the area in shop the manual that deals with the diagnosis and replacement of the air mix servo, and the mode servo. i can't find it. can anyone lead me to the correct area???
  3. as i understand it, one unit directs airflo up or down; one unit regulates heat and ac. is there a third unit that regulates the flapper that moves between recirculating interior air and letting in fresh air??? and if so, where is it located??? and what is it called???
  4. i have a 99 300rx. at 70 mph, my tachomteter reads about 3000rpm. sound right???
  5. my 1999 rx 300 has 120k miles. it runs well, with no stutter, or any smell of fuel out of the tailpipe. yesterday, the cel came on, and it is the p1133 code. even with the cel light on, the car runs fine. any thoughts?? i suppose it could be the rear oxygn sensor. anything else come to mind?? is thiss an emergency repair??
  6. well, it is not the belt. regarding the steering column boot referred to, i looked in the engine compartment, but it was way too crowded in there for me to see anything. can the boot be accessed from the engine ompartment, or is it accessed from below with the suv on a rack, or is there some other way????
  7. thanks to both of you. to my ear,the noise seems to come from the center of the steering wheel area. i will have my wife listen in the engine compartment to see if it is a belt [it doesn't sound like that kind of noise, and there is no difficulty in turning the wheel, which is what i noticed in the past with other cars that had a bad belt. they also seemed to shudder a little when i turned the wheel]. if it is not that belt, i will have my local mechanic try to locate the boot and deal with that and see what happens.
  8. 1999 rx 300. runs good, but when i turn the steering wheel in either direction, there is a squeaking sound from the wheel area [not engine compartment] that lasts as long as the wheel is being turned, but goes away when the wheel is centered. can anyone suggest what this is, and what, if anything, to do about it?
  9. for a 1997 es 300 front passenger power window switch, does the door panel have to be removed to replace the sewitch? if so, any instructions on how to remove the panel? if not, does the switch just pry out like on my old mercedes? any advice appreciated.
