  1. I brought it back in again. They worked on it all day, gave me a loaner. They returned it in the afternoon. So far, no rattle. Holding my breath. The mechanic said that the 2009 RX's have a lot of this-- but mine was the only one that wasnt fixed the first time. Hello... I too have the same window noise issue and it's driving me nearly insane!! I've been to the dealer 4-5 times now and I thought it was fixed by installing new weatherstripping on the doors and windows that had been ordered as new parts, etc., all fresh. Upon redriving it was fine - they washed the car and the noise was back but seemed much better after car dried. This was on Wednesday and it's now Sunday. BUT, on the way home from a road trip, the noise is still there and although it's a bit better - it's not silent like it was for the 5 minute test drive after the new weatherstripping. UGH. I am not sure what to do - this is a lease that I've had since mid-November and it's getting ridiculous. Fwiw, I do notice that when I push on the window, it seems to stop the luffing/rattling noise. For me, it sounds like plastic being scrunched very quietly - or - if you push on the window with the door closed, it replicates the noise in my vehicle. (In case you need to demonstrate the noise for the tech). Please update with what you've all done and if it's stayed fine for a while. Thanks for any feedback! Cate / Marinite My 2009 Rx350 does the same thing. The noise is driving my crazy. I've been into the dealer three times. They have tried messing with the door adjustments, applying grease to the window, and adding foam padding over the side airbags. The squeaking seems to get worse when the weather is bad. If anyone else has a suggestion I'm all ears.
  2. I brought it in. They gave me a loaner. They couldnt fix it the first day. Had to order parts from back east. Days later they said it was fixed. I picked it up. The same rattle was there. Tomorrow, I call them again to fix it. What do I have here-- a lemon? Hello... I too have the same window noise issue and it's driving me nearly insane!! 3. Wow, that's very interesting. I just bought my RX350. With less than 100 miles in I started hearing a rattle. I thought it was the seatbelt adjustment contraption. I brought it to the dealer immediately. They said it was the window making the noise. Sounds exactly like your guys' problem. Tomorrow I take it in to be fixed. I will be listening closely. Sounds like a defect in that batch of Lexus's. Hello... I too have the same window noise issue and it's driving me nearly insane!! 4. Actually I thoght the older design was more sporty than the new one. The slanted headlights look funny. The bumper has disappeared. The lines of 2010 make it look more like a station wagon than a SuV, in my opinion. Yep, I still have regrets about not getting the MDX. I love the looks and styling of the 2009 RDX but that headroom situation is a slight problem.
  5. Great. Whats the best price out there for a 2009?
  6. Maybe it's just me, but does the 2010 RX seem a bit.... ummm.... girlie?
  7. I bought my 09 AWD 18 inch wheel no navigation for 32,800. I live in Northern Calif and bought a fwd w/nav for $35k + tax/Lic. I probably could have gotten it a little lower, but got tired of going back and forth btwn dealers! Now, I am really upset. May I ask a few more questions? (since your message box is disabled, I have to post my question here--btw, you can send your answers to me to my message box. Thanks a lot) Hi GC68, I can't believe you get such good deal in CA. Now I feel really bad with my purchase price. Can you elaborate a little more on your experience: 1. Did you get a new 2009 rx350 4wd+nav+moon roof+leather seat etc. for $35k? Really 2. If you don't mind, may I ask which dealer you bought it from? You can send your reply to my message box. Many thanks in advance. Sorry, I'm new to this forum and it won't allow me to send a message. I bought an '09 w/fwd and premium pkg(leather, moonroof, etc) and nav. for $35k. The only option that it didnt come with are the HID headlights. I bought it from Serramonte Lexus. They're ready to wheel and deal on the '09's! Ahhh, I guess I have to stop whining. I guess there is no way I can ask the dealer to give me anything back. ok. I have to cheer up to enjoy my lexus now. Thanks for your reply.
  8. I debated long and hard over whether to buy the RX350 or not. I always loved the car. My problem with it is that I am 6'3". I sat in one and any hairs standing up on my head brush the ceiling. My head does not hit the roof, but my hair brushes it. Is it too tight a squeeze? How much do I love this car? I debated. I adjusted seat position. Finally, I bought one. I have made the seat adjustments. My hair still sometimes brushes the ceiling. Any suggestions on seat adjustments, loweing the seats, anything (except shaving my head bald)? Thanks.
