Reply from Jane: I had the same problem with my driver's side door (GS300 2001) and took it to the dealer and they said the bar (I guess for the actuator) was stuck so they released that. They also replaced the keyfob batteries. I had no issues for about two weeks and it has started again. Now my passenger door will not lock with the keyfob as well. I would confidently say your actuator is bad. I am going to take mine to be replaced, but luckily I have an extended warranty and it will cover this item.
