  1. Thank you for not being judgemental or preachy. I too love the silence! Will check with my dealer. Cheers.
  2. How do I disable the annoying seat belt alarm? Sure, fasten the seat belt. Any other suggestions?
  3. A friend with an '09 IS250 has found that the navigation screen does not dim, or reverse contrast from the bright daytime view to the more subdued view in dark environments and nightime driving. My LS460 does this automatically. Is there some special setting that must be toggled for auto-dimming, or does the IS250 system not have this feature?
  4. In attempting to determine how I can silence the annoying seat belt alarm on my '08 LS460, I came across this statement on the "Just Answer" web site today: "One thing I know from my many years of experience at a Lexus dealership is that all new cars now have free customized settings that Lexus covers the charge for you. This servce will only be provided 1 time and must be claimed within the first 12 months from the in service date." Never heard about this before. Anyone know if it's true?
  5. My LS460 (Starfire Pearl) is five months old now. I have the Permaplate package and will get a new application of this in December. Is it okay to wax this vehicle? The dealer says I don't need to but I love to rub the back of my fingers on a freshly (hand) waxed finish, but fear the wax may interfere with the next Permaplate application. Any thoughts?
  6. Has anyone determined if there is a code we can punch in (perhaps like to turn off the seatbelt fastened alarm?????) that will override this annoying limitation?
  7. Am new to the forum, and probably will get flamed for asking, but I do not see anything about disabling the unbuckled seatbelt alarm for the 2008 LS460. I do see instructions for some other Lexus models, and similar instructions worked for my 2007 Toyota Highlander. Anybody have the right sequence to achieve this? Much Appreciated.
