  1. dood- i think i need my kidneys checked out then.
  2. agree w/ skperformance. if you shift hard most of the time and accelerate aggresively, your car will start to shift at later points anyway. One interesting thing to note, however, is that before my tranny died on me, it felt like the gears were slipping between shifts (hard to describe). Putting the car on ECT mode was the only way i could prevent this feeling.
  3. is it just me, or are there variations of different headlights in yrs 92, 93, 94? i speficially dont know which one, but i've seen chromed headlights (for those that know what i'm talking about) on a 92-94 (can tell because of round fogs and rear emblems), and i've also seen the non-shiny ones in a 92-94.
  4. "cold air only coming out of center vents" was one of my first complaints/symptoms before my a/c stopped blowing cold air altogether. i've told the story quite a few times somewhere else, but basically, i think the expansion valve was stuck in the end.
  5. i think the best MPG i ever got was 27 MPG during my 5 hour drive from monterey back down to los angeles. normal city driving yielded me around 21 MPG, and that's w/ moderate traffic, heavy acceleration at least 3x a day, and passing people plenty of times.
  6. burnt out gauge cluster needles, DEFINITELY. basically everything nabeel said, and quite possibly transmission. some minor ones might be power antenna and struts wearing out.
  7. ack! Nabeel, quit hiding from girls you like.
  8. For the 02 drivers: i thought toyota/lexus was going to come out with a fix for the transmission hesitation problem. I know there was a fix for the camry after a toyota tech team from japan spent a few weeks in the u.s. back in september or october, but last time i checked, they were still working on it for the ES, and i forgot about it til now. did you 02 drivers get any notice?
  9. hehe, thanks guys. i'm a noob here :P getting a really nice welcome. i kept trying to link over here from the links that Zeta posted over at CL...but they are mysteriously not working. (hmmmm), that's the main cause of my delay in coming here. I DEFINITELY miss the ES and miss you guys too. I have dreams about driving my car still(seriously). The Subie's cool...very different though. shouts out to steviej, zeta, sw03, sk, and hi matt. wait, where's Nabeel at? peace out!
  10. hehe!! Hi guys. (looks around, curious and slightly lost). Finally i registered after somehow not being able to find the ES forums (silly me). Zeta, you listening??? what's up?! thumbsup on the moderating, guys!
