  1. 2006. But I was wrong, the vibration is still there, taking it to my mechanic this weekend
  2. Thing is, my headlight hasn't gone out in more than a month now... so it's definately not as often as it should be if say the bulb was about to burn out. Must be something else..
  3. NICE. Makes me want to paint my calipers. Why no trunk lip spoiler?
  4. Sewell has an awesome website, but the items are pretty expensive. I was in the market for that shark fin antenna & the trunk lip spoiler. Better deals elsewhere? Before you say it, I know i'm gonna sacrifice quality, but.... oh well.
  5. Duuude, I am itching to see this set up. Can you put up some pictures or Youtube some video? Thanks.
  6. Thinking of adding one of those shark fin antennas & lip spoiler to my IS. Can anyone recommend an online dealer they've had a good experience with, hopefully one that also paints the accessories to match your vehicle color?
  7. Since I got the car i've noticed that when I make a hard left or hard right turn it feels like the tires skip a beat, a little jerk, not a steady turn. This is only when the steering wheel is at a full left or full right. Casually driving I never notice this, it's usually when i'm making my way out of a tight spot like in a parking lot when I have to turn the car around. Any idea what this could be? Damaged tire(s)?
  8. I had my power steering, fuel pipe & caliper boots replaced yesterday as part of that mass recall. This morning on my way to work I noticed that mild vibration that used to be there as I hit hwy speeds & faster is not there anymore.
  9. Smooth, I personally would just love to see your setup. Pictures/videos please?
  10. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is that triggers the automatic wipers. With bits of snow/ice around my windshield I noticed that it goes on when it totally doesn't need to
  11. Nice, nice... I'm excited for you. Would love to see pics of the install & final setup once the equip arrives. Keep us tuned! Still haven't placed my order :( Thinking of installing a mono amp & sub first, need that low bad! B)
  12. I had to replace my driver's side front tire, same thing, sidewall damaged from pothole. I only had the 1 tire replaced & I have about 44,000km on my car. Mechanic/dealership never recommended I change both fronts.
  13. Okay finally, someone having the same problem as me. My driver's side headlight does not turn on every now on & then. Not consistant, not daily like yours. But it always happens upon starting the vehicle, never noticed it going off on its own while driving (not that i've noticed anyway). But yeah, dealer said to bring it in when the light actually doesn't go on so they can diagnose the problem. Problem is, the light's been coming on most of the time lately... Just hope it doesn't go on before my warranty is up so I can get this covered - whatever's causing it. Let me know if you find out the root cause on your end.
  14. This is what I am considering getting. Check out the videos. http://www.multimedialinq.com/vml.php
  15. I didn't know you could get ML audio in the IS250 AWD. Possible to get this in the 2006 model? Would be awesome to be able to play DVD video & audio. I called a few dealerships, they're unsure of whether or not it's possible. Does anyone here know if it can in fact be done? P.S. White's my fav. color for the IS, I had to settle w/black. PICTURES PLEASE.
  16. 1. Yesterday the temperature here was +8 farenheit with a windchill of -11 & I have never had any trouble with the display of my Nav or any other electronics in my car for that matter. 2. I don't know about our IS' but a friend has a Corolla and once the engine is started with the FOB inside & the FOB is removed from the vehicle you can still drive it. Only once the engine is shut off & you need to restart it do you need the FOB inside the car. 3. I'm coming from driving a Toyota Celica GTS so the engine is nice & quiet to me aside from the little roar of dealing with the outside cold. 4. I disabled that annoying seatbelt alarm & had all doors open from the touch of the driver's door handle. Also, you can have all the windows & sunroof open just by holding down the unlock button on the FOB for a few seconds - not a mod but cool to know. Yes yes, PICTURES PLEASE!
  17. I wonder if the American recalls apply to the Canadian Lexus IS' as well. They're built slightly different, not the exact same features. I should contact my dealer
  18. I'm sure a good wash will get rid of any snow/ice build up on the rims, hopefully then the vibration will diminish - wishful thinking but i'll try it
  19. Thanks for your help guys, will try it when I get out of the office today...
  20. Is there any way to make the up/down buttons on the steering wheel not just run through your memory set stations, but rather have the same function as the tune knob - so I can just go from 88.1 to 88.3 to 88.5 to 88.7 & so on?
  21. I prior posted about the bulge on the side of my tire causing vibration. After the tire was replaced the vibration went away completely. A few days ago while on the highway I started noticing vibration when I hit higher speeds, excess of 60km/hr. Checked all the tires myself, no bulges or obvious damage, not sure what it is this time. Hope I don't have a damaged rim? Maybe the mechanic at the dealership didn't properly balance the tire.... <_<
  22. It's not just the speed factor, it's also the ML audio & DVD capabilities, oh yeah & those gorgeous stock rims, woops the suspension too! Geez that 350 is really built a whole lot different
  23. I'm really loving the ECT Snow & Power options. When I don't have time to sit idle & warm up the car I just pop on the snow mode so the engine revs lower. & What a difference with the power option, blazing to work every morning. I can't imagine how fast the IS350 must be... Need to take a test drive
  24. I can't believe we're discussing this I'm just happy to be driving a Lexus, regardless of the model. Mind you i'm pretty proud of the AWD on the back when I see cars stuck in the snow. This thing strolls over high snow & ice like it's fresh dry pavement. Way to go Lexus
  25. What kind of phone are you using? I have a Moto Razr, the blueooth connectivity & sound quality is outstanding in my IS
